STATION #7
Always Ready
Station 7 is located at 3307 Tates Creek Road. Station 7 opened in 1963 and was built entirely by department personnel as the first ranch-style firehouse in the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG). Seven future LFUCG fire stations were constructed between 1963 and 1975 utilizing this same design.
A total of 21 firefighters across the three platoons call Station 7 their home while on duty. Engine 7 and Emergency Care (EC) 4 are housed here. Station 7 has a motto which incorporates a Bulldog and the phrase Always Ready. The Bulldog roots come from the several Mack fire trucks that were housed at this station. In the past, Station 7 has also been the home of Engine 17, District Major 202, and Hook & Ladder 2.
